The launch of my first book "Brains Balls & Banter" was about connecting with people and celebrating my success with friends, family and the creative arts community. Some days you need to stand up for our men and our boys. Actually, we need to do this everyday

To be caught in a corner where you are judged for every move you make. Judged by perfect people who preach. Some who are the biggest sinners of all.

They say children should be seen and not heard. Some say, women should be seen and not heard. That we are items, that our better halves, put out on display and we must do what they say, robots that move in a robotic way. Screams clenched in small fists, some women will take those screams to their graves. Some will be saved.

This poem came about after a conversation with a friend, on the differences we faced as parents raising a daughter versus raising a son. We have different fears for each. So I put it into words, what it was like to raise a daughter.
